Dr. William Van der Reis is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in arthroscopy and sports medicine. He completed an orthopaedic surgical residency at the University of California, San Francisco followed by a fellowship in arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine in Salt Lake City, Utah.
His practice focuses on restoration of function and return to pre-injury activities, with cutting-edge arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He prides himself on giving all of his patients a focused, practical approach to both surgical and non-surgical treatments for injuries. Utilizing his education and over 20 years of practice, Dr. Van der Reis has developed a patient-centered approach to minimally invasive surgery that uses the safest and most effective techniques available.
Dr. Van der Reis particularly enjoys working with student and professional athletes in both injury prevention and surgery. A specialist in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery, Dr. Van der Reis has performed thousands of advanced arthroscopic surgical procedures of the shoulder, knee, ankle, elbow, and hip.
In his free time, you can find Dr. Van der Reis cycling around town, traveling with the US ski team as a team physician and coaching mountain biking for kids.
